REMOVE ALL TAXES ON SANITARY PADS TO MAKE IT AFFORDABLE FOR THE NEEDY — GOV’T TOLD

The founder of Kunata voluntary organization Yahaya Alhassan, has called on the government to remove all taxes on sanitary pads to make it affordable for the needy.

According to him, people torment, abuse, and traumatize Ghanaian girls because they cannot afford the high cost of sanitary pads.

This to him, men take advantage of innocent girls and sleep with them in other to give them a small token to purchase pads.

He made this call when the Kunata voluntary organization organized a party for the kayeye at Mamobi Nima in Accra.

Hawa Gambaga, the Kayayei Queen mother, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Kunata’s voluntary organization for their unwavering support. She called on the government to come to their aid.
